This is a great project for even the “craft-challenged” to take on! It is so easy, takes minimal supplies and can be used for more than just a jewelry and accessories stand. You could also use this easy-to-make stand to hold treats at a party, for cupcakes, etc.
What’s better? Terra cotta pots are inexpensive. I was able to create this entire project for under $10.
Supplies Needed:
- (3) Terra Cotta Saucers: I used three different sizes starting with a 12″ saucer as my first tier.
- (3) Terra Cotta Pots: I purchased two that were the same size, then one larger pot for the base.
- White Acrylic Paint: This can be any kind or color. It typically comes in 2 oz bottles. I used about one and a half to cover all the terra cotta in this project.
- Paint Brush
- Marbles or Rocks: This is optional but I liked the look of the iridescent white stones combined with the fresh white terra-cotta pots.
- Super Glue
Step 4: Assemble your pots and saucers. I used super glue and lined the bottom of each terra cotta pot before sticking it to the bottom of the saucers. When you are done with this step, your pots and saucers should look similar to mine, pictured below.
Step 5: Again, this is completely optional, but feel free to add river rocks or colored marbles to your stand as decoration. I liked the look of it personally. You can purchase little river rocks or various shaped and colored marbles at craft stores.
The finished product! Questions? Comments? We always like to hear from you.
